Julia Briggs has been painting since her childhood in Dallas, Texas. The artist received her B.S. in art from Parsons School of Design in Manhattan. After graduating from Parsons, Julia began her painting career in Manhattan. Her artistic ability has also taken her on a career path of Advertising Art and Textile Design.

Julia’s work has shown in galleries in Dallas, Los Angeles and NewYork. Her work hangs in private collections in England, France, Belgium, China, Germany and the United States. Her paintings were also displayed in Bergdorf Goodman's windows.

When asked to comment on her style, she stated, "I strive to be a spontaneous painter. I want to be loose enough in my work to feel the pulse of the subject, but, focused enough to maintain its integrity. Color is vital."

Julia divides her time between New York and Dallas. She is happily painting and raising her daughter, Katja.
